Matt's quest to go to every ballpark in the county continues. Our trip to Washington DC put him at exactly half way there. He has been to 15 of the 30 ballparks! The first stop of our trip took us to Maryland, home of the Baltimore Orioles. This has been one of our favorite parks yet. It is connected to Camden Yards and right in the heart of the city. It was unbelievably hot, about 95 degrees! Lilly was such a trooper. We walked all over Baltimore and had lunch right on the bay! By the time we got to the park I was just excited to sit; and thankfully in the shade.
Ballpark #15 was RFK Stadium in Washington DC. Home of the Washington Nationals. We took the Metro to the game and arrived with plenty of time to get some chips and hot-dogs. This is the last year the Nationals will play there as they have a new ballpark being built on the river. Lilly was so good at the game and we had plenty of room for her fussy bursts.
We love our baseball trips. It is such a fun way to see different cities and parts of the country even though Lilly and I haven't been to quite as many parks as Matt. I've seen 7 so far and Lilly has already been to four!!! She is such a huge baseball fan!
