Pedal to the Metal

Matt has fallen in love with his new toy - his road bike. He bought it a few weeks ago and has already done a Duathalon. The Paper Discovery Duathalon in Appleton, Wisconsin consists of a 3 mile run, 22 mile bike ride, followed by another 3 mile run. Whew...He finished in 2 hours 2o minutes. Lilly and I were so bummed that we could make it out to Appleton to cheer Matt on but he ended up doing really well without us.
Today Matt and a couple friends set out to do his longest bike ride yet. Matt mapped the route and the guys had a great time and ended up going 43 miles! He packed some Gatorade and a few Cliff Bars and set out. Two and a half hours later they finished! Up next - the guys are talking about biking to Lake Geneva.
