91. Read a book on nutrition

I've been running for over a year now and I realize the importance of good nutrition. Nancy Clark's Sports Nutrition book was highly rated on Amazon so I checked it out at the library. There wasn't anything too revolutionary here. Gretchen's so well educated in nutrition that anytime I thought I uncovered something new, she had not only heard of it (fish oil pills) but showed me that we had them in our house already!
Some of the key take aways:
- Eat breakfast EVERY day -
- Eat more veggies -top veggies: carrots, broccoli, spinach, sweet potato and brussel Sprouts
- Eat more fruits - top fruits: cantaloupe, apricots, prunes, oranges
- Take my vitamins and fish oil pills daily
They also could have put a chapter in there about how it's not good to eat an entire package of Oreos in one sitting or how one person probably shouldn't eat 5 Arby's melts (hey, it's only $5.95!). Maybe those will make the second edition.

You already know it, but you've got a wonderful wife there. She is taking care that everyone gets nutritious food all the time. Taking food for Lilly to places that have food is so much harder than letting Lilly eat the junk food so many other mothers feed their kids is a perfect example. You look so healthy, Matt. Keep up the good work and keep eating that chocolate!

What did it say about after a big workout? Melissa was wondering what to make Saturday night when we get home. Any suggestions?
