The first 2 years I lived in Milwaukee, I was in a bowling league. I stopped soon after Gretchen and I got married - not because she made me, but because I was sick of smelling like a greasy ashtray every Thursday night. I remember that I wanted to leave my clothes outside so the apartment wouldn't smell. I was a pretty good bowler (I even have my own ball!). My average was a 157, I had several games over 200 and my high game was a 232. I've only gone bowling a handful of times since I stopped league play and that's why I put this goal down - I wanted an excuse to get out and bowl. I put 175 as the magic number because I thought I'd need to go a few times to make the goal but I wanted to make sure it was attainable. 175 wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. If I was making my goals over again, I would have made 200 the new number. I bowled 3 games with Greg and Chewy tonight and they were: 169, 165 and 181, respectively. Those were pretty good scores and I didn't really feel "in the zone" for any one game. I know that if I bowled more often (like more than twice a year) I could get in the high 100's and if I get hot, I know I can get back in the 200's. Anyone want to go bowling?

In my experience, if I had bowled one more game, I probably would have gotten something in the 80s or 90s.
Way to go!
When I was growing up, our Thanksgiving tradition was to go bowling after dinner. I know we took you kids a few times while you were growing up, but it's never been a passion. Good scores for not having much practice!
