Trick or Treat

We just got back from our first time trick or treating as parents. Besides being very cold... it was very fun.  Lilly was going to be a ballerina but it was just too cold so I let her pick her costume from her dress-up clothes. The end result... a fairy-ballerina-bunny?!?  Calvin on the other hand had a pretty warm costume already. He was the cutest tiger I've ever seen... I like to say that he was "Calvin and Hobbes". All the kids were so cute and I think they all stayed pretty warm.

So... we started at our friend's, the Ulrich's house... joined by our other friends the Lavin's and the Stanley's and walked over to the Stanley's  new house and back.

It was a lot of fun to watch Lilly's excitement about the whole night. I think that she may believe that anytime we go to someone's door they will bring out a big bucket if candy for us. I wish that were true.

Once we got there I thought it would be a great idea to put all seven kids on the steps and take a picture. I had imagined that it would work out much better than this. I'm not sure what I was thinking but this is the best picture we got.

We had a great time. Thanks so much to the Ulrich's for inviting us and thank you to Menomonee Falls for the generous helpings of candy! We had a great time.
