Lilly and I had a fun "date" to learn about apes and monkeys at the zoo. It was a class with 5 other parents and their 3 year olds. Lilly was a little shy at first but warmed up quickly.
She enjoyed using the binoculars to find all of the hidden stuffed monkeys around the classroom.
Altogether, we made a monkey tail and ears, binoculars and an ape mask. It was so much fun. Also, just so you know, we did see real apes and monkeys, I just didn't get any pictures :)
Lilly took this picture of me.
This girl's so tired from filling her brain with monkey facts.
3 takeaways from the class::
1. Difference between apes and monkeys? Apes don't have tails.
2. Orangatan rhymes with fan... I always called them orangaTANGs.
3. I made better ape noises than any other parent there.

How sweet!
#3 - I can just picture it:)
Monkeys v. apes, tail or no tail. I never knew, thanks.
Looks like you two had a great time.
Crack me up!
Bud took Brynn to the same class on Saturday from 1-2:30pm...you guys must have just missed each other ; )
Learn something new everyday... but I'm sure I'll still end up calling them oranguTANGs out of habit.
By the way, I'm so jealous that you guys live that close to a zoo!
Awesome! I also love your humor! Lilly is a proud daughter.
