Open Doors

God has really shown up for us these last few weeks. I'm so amazed at how many doors he has opened and how generous he's been to us. We accepted a great offer on our house August 3rd, two days after we had turned down an offer for less than we paid. And the woman buying the house? She grew up here. Her dad built it and her parents lived here until they passed away.

Now that we had an accepted offer we were able to really start our house hunt. We saw one home and fell in love. Trouble was it had an accepted offer very close to asking. We prayed that if it was God's Will the doors would be opened. They were. The couple that made the offer had a home sale contingency and no offers yet. We weren't able to get close to the asking price but we made our best offer and prayed. Amazingly they accepted our offer and two days later we became the primary offer. We close September 30th.

So, we're moving to Waukesha. Much further away than I ever thought we'd get but God is good and we've prayed for his leading. We're amazed at how well our new home will fit our needs and desires. It had everything on our wish list - including enough room to have guests visit. So our door will be open...
