WOW!!! We are so proud of Matt for finishing his first 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles) in under 2 hours! He ran the Lake Country Half Marathon in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Matt's brother, Eric, also competed and did amazing as well. What a HUGE accomplishment! I couldn't be more proud or amazed at how far Matt has come since he started running last Fall.
Lilly and I went along to cheer the boys on. It was a great morning to be outside and the weather was gorgeous. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day! Lilly enjoyed a nice little nap and playing in the grass as we waited. Finally, Matt came toward the finish line still going strong. Both Lilly and I cheered and clapped as he finished in 1:57:30. Now Matt and Eric can enjoy a well deserved break! Way to go guys!
