Fall Day

What a perfect fall day! Matt had an 18 mile run to do this morning so while he was doing that Lilly and I decided to bake an apple pie. We both tied up our aprons and got to work. Lilly loved turning the handle on the apple peeler/corer as well as snacking on the apples.



While that was baking we got ready to go to the Pumpkin Farm with our friends. We had perfect weather for pumpkin picking. We went out to Basses Farm in Menomonee Falls.

Lilly and Daddy enjoyed the play area and looking at the animals.

We took a hayride over to the pumpkin patch. Lilly loved the tractor and especially loved picking out her own pumpkin. She seemed to go for the weird moldy ones that had bugs living in them. Eventually we found a nice one that she can carve.

Calvin had a great time in the baby bjorn. He slept the entire time.

We attempted the corn maze which was in the shape of Tommy the Train. To get through the maze you had to answer various questions about Thomas the Train, like - what year was the book published. We had no idea it even was a book, so we made it the center (or his eyes) and then tried to find the quickest way out. Lilly seemed to enjoy it while we were there. I, however, enjoyed watching Matt chase Lilly through the corn.
