Our beloved "puppy" needs some prayer. Wrigley is now 4 1/2 years old but she is still our puppy. We adopted Wrigley from the Elmbrook Humane Society in June of 2004. She was our first wedding anniversary gift. From the moment we brought her home she has been our first child. I think we have just as many pictures and video's of Wrigley's first year as we do Lilly's. All this to say we are in need of prayer. Wrigley has been sick for over a month now. She has very little appetite, bloody stools, occasional vomiting, and dramatic weight-loss.. She has been on medication and been to the vet several times yet we are still without a diagnosis as to what is causing her illness. The last testing we did was some extensive blood work that showed she has a disease in her small intestine - we just aren't sure what. She will need a rather expensive biopsy to determine exactly what is causing her symptoms. So we are asking you to pray in the following ways.
- Pray that God gives us wisdom on what course of action to take. James 1:5 says "If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you."
- Pray that God heals Wrigley. Exodus 15:26 says "for I am the Lord who heals you." I can only assume this applies to beloved pets as well.
- Pray that God provides financially for us. Philippians 4:19 says "And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus."
We know that God has Wrigley in His hands. Thank you for your prayers.

I am so sorry that Wrigley is sick - it makes me want to cry. It's amazing how incredibly attached you get to your pets. I think it's especially different when you have them before having your children. We will pray for healing for Wrigley and for the wisdom for your family to know what is best for her.
We will all pray for poor wrigley. Something will happen. God loves our dogs more than we do. That is why dog is God spelled backwards. They are so faithful.
My original comment didn't post for some reason. You know how much I love Wrigley and I have been praying for her every time I think of her (which is a lot!)
