I graduated from Aurora Christian in 1997. In 1998, ACS joined big-boy schooling and added a football team. They had a rough start for the first several years and played mostly JV teams. Things turned for the better (much, much better) a few years ago when former Green Bay Packer, Don Beebe came on to be the head coach. This year, they're undefeated and in the playoffs. I went to the State Quarter Finals game on Saturday against 7-time defending state champion, Driscoll Catholic. What an experience! ACS led the for the entire game and won 24-17. It was worth sitting out there in the sub-freezing temperatures to watch them win and move on. Two more wins and they'll be state champs!

I was always glad that ACS didn't have a football team while you were there. I didn't want you to get hurt. I do understand the excitement of your school being in the playoffs though. I remember the wonderful basketball games we went to see.
