Since Lilly's birth 2 1/2 years ago I can count the date nights that Matt and I have had on one hand. Last Saturday was one such occasion. It was our first full date since Cal's been born. Matt's mom came so we were able to spend most of the day together. In the afternoon we enjoyed some kid free shopping. It was so surreal to walk through a mall without chasing a toddler or pushing a stroller. I must've looked different because two different sales people noticed that I was there sans kids. After our shopping trip we went back home to feed the kids before heading out for dinner and movie. It was so wonderful to spend one-on-one time with my amazing husband. I love him so much and after such a long week, a night with my man was exactly what I needed.

Yeah for family and date nights! Ask one of us to watch your kiddo's so you can get out a bit more girl. Mike and I are game now that we have our heads screwed on straight from having Drew and I promise that none of us will wind up in the ER!
