Gretchen and I are in San Francisco for the next several days. Today we ventured into Oakland to watch the A's play the White Sox at the Coliseum.
The place gave off a major prison-vibe. Here's the walkway from the transit station into the stadium. Looks difficult to escape, doesn't it?
I was surprised to see how many Rookie of the Years they've had.
Stadium experience was pretty good. The Raiders play there too so a lot of the concession and seating areas are only open for football games. The weather was great - San Francisco and Oakland don't get hot. We saw a 1pm game today and the high was 63 degrees. It felt like fall!
I really enjoy ball games... thankfully, Gretchen really enjoys them too!
Gretchen signing "A". Wow.
This barb-wire fence surrounds the whole concourse. Doesn't this look welcoming to smokers?
And here's the walkway back to the B.A.R.T (Bay Area Rapid Transit). Yes, that's razor wire.
Beautiful day for a game. A's beat the Sox 10-2.
On the platform at the BART, waiting to get the heck out of Oakland. :)
