Do we live at the zoo?

No... but sometimes I feel like we should. Our zoo membership has become a must for our family each summer. It being less than 2 miles away makes it such a great spot for us to spend our days. We've already been three times this week. I had a meeting at church on Saturday so Matt and Lilly had a father-daughter day at the zoo. Then Lilly and I met up with Melissa and Eli and Ruth and Connor on Tuesday morning. We enjoyed seeing the animals - who were all a little sleepy. Then we took a ride on the train and enjoyed sack lunches by the carousel. Then on Wednesday night we all went (me, Matt and Lilly) to the zoo for a special members-only event they were having. They have a few of these a month and they are always the most fun. Last night they had live music, root beer floats, local restaurants had booths set up so you could grab a bite and the sting-ray exhibit was free. Lilly's favorite animal this week is probably the elephants. My favorite is always the same - the giraffes. They were especially fun to watch last night as they were running around. They are so graceful and it looked like they were floating.
