Our Lilly turned 2 years old today. We've been celebrating her birthday for a few days now but today was still a special day. Lilly woke up in wonderful mood. When I walked in her room this morning she was sitting in her rocking chair just talking to herself. It was so precious. I grabbed her and we cuddled in her little bed for a while and I sang happy birthday to her. She must know that it is a special song because she beams when we sing it to her.
After breakfast we spent the morning at Melissa and Eli's house. Lilly was so excited to see her favorite friend and very excited to open presents. Eli got Lilly her very own My Little Pony and a special case to carry them in.
I think Lilly's favorite part of her birthday was tonight. It was the first night of AWANA at our church. AWANA is a ministry program for children that Matt and I have served in for the last couple years. Now that Lilly is two years old she is an AWANA Honeybee. She loved her first night. When we picked her up she was busy singing and playing but still excited to show us what she had made in club. She is just growing up so quickly!
