Yesterday was Gretchen's birthday. My mom took charge of the kids so that we could enjoy the day together. We had some kid-free shopping in the afternoon, we had a really fun dinner at Stir Crazy and then saw the movie "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". It was so nice to have some time alone as a couple. Just to put Gretchen's mind at ease, I wanted to put it on the record that I'm not going to stop at 3 date nights. My mom's been so great with the kids and the kids have been so great with my mom that I hope to do many more this year.
