7 and 22...

As most of you know, my husband Matt, has a blog in which he keeps track of his 101 goals. He is always thinking about what goals to do next and how he can complete all of them by his deadline. I am a chronic list maker, so to see Matt do this warms my heart. So, I've decided to surprise him with helping him check off two goals: #7 - Visit the Shedd Aquarium and #22 - tour Wrigley Field. I am using the word "surprise" pretty loosely. I'd like to think I'm surprising him but "lie" might be more accurate. I've had this planned for months. A few weeks ago when Matt asked if he could run a marathon on May 9th, I told him I had something planned that was "no big deal". His response was- "Is it a tour of Wrigley?" to which I completely lied and said "no". Sorry hon, I didn't want to lie but you gave me no choice. Then just last week Matt started to purchase tickets on cubs.com for the tour. Maybe he was just trying to call my bluff but he somehow has a knack for ruining my surprises. Stop saying "no" Matt... you do.

So Matt, pack your bags, get your long run in on Friday because we leave Saturday morning. We'll tour Wrigley at 10:30am (if I can remember where I hid the tickets). I figured we can grab lunch before we check into our hotel. We could do a little shopping on Michigan Avenue and get some Chicago style pizza for dinner. Then Sunday - off to the Shedd Aquarium (doors open at 9am). I think this will be Lilly's favorite part. I am really excited for our family trip. Matt, you are an amazing husband and father. You work so hard and I am so proud of all you do. I just hope you check my blog enough to get this on time. :) I love you.
