We had a great time in Seattle! It's good to be home though. Vacations aren't quite as relaxing with kids. We were all so exhausted that Matt, Lilly and I slept in until 10am! Calvin finally woke up after 11am and both kids were in bed by 7pm.
We spent most of our time exploring the city. It's such a beautiful area and we had amazing weather by any standards.
Lilly talked so much about the hotel swimming pool on the way there I think she thought that was the whole reason we were going.
The real reason we went to Seattle was to visit my younger brother Jonathan, who goes to school at Seattle Pacific University. We were really excited to be able to see him and attend his senior art show. Our first night there we met up at a place downtown called Blue C Sushi. The entire restaurant has a conveyor belt that runs by all the tables and when you see something you want... you grab it. Very neat concept... if you like sushi. :) Fortunately, Matt and Jon love it, so they were in luck.
The kids loved the hotel and slept really well. We were pretty worried that the time change would make for some early mornings but they were so exhausted they slept in until 8 and 9am.
We packed so many great memories into the 4 days we were there. I complied a video of them, and of course the background music is Matt's favorite band, Pearl Jam, who just happen to be from Seattle. And, as with all my posts, I do them for our family so that we can look back on our memories. I say that because this video is 10 minutes long and I don't expect even my closest friends and family to sit around and watch all 200 pictures. Just so you know.... you're off the hook. :)
Oh... and just one more thing. I love my family so much. They are amazing.
